NRC X2 Glasses

In 1947 a piloted plane exceeded the speed of sound in horizontal flight for the first time ever: Its name was X-1.

This was the inspiration for the nrc x-series: Breaking the barriers.

The technical barrier: Through the use of sophisticated materials so as to obtain the best quality with regard to lenses, and to amplify the field of vision. The frame then became lighter with an adjustable bridge to fit any face, and finally, the temples were fitted with removable rubber tips allowing the rider the option to make his glasses even lighter.

The most important challenge for us, however, was a common problem associated with designing glasses: the difference in thinking between the designer and the end user.

The design for the nrc x-series is based entirely on dialogue with amateur cyclists, and the design phase, which is usually the start of the production process, developed in line with required features identified by those who have to encounter the problems in real life.
